Creative Advertising in Race for State Treasurer
Well, we’ve heard from delegates around the state who have become a bit weary of the onslaught of contacts from the Indiana State Treasurer candidates which has stepped up as the convention gets closer. Those checking in today will need to brace themselves for another ad in a most unusual place…
Their hotel key card.
Yes, Mayor Wayne Seybold (R-Marion) has purchased space on the key cards to get one more opportunity to keep his name in front of delegates. Actually, it’s not a bad idea… it’ll be one of the last thing delegates before going to bed tonight and potentially one of the first things they see the morning of the vote.
For those who haven’t left yet and want to participate in the #Gift4Gov charity food drive in honor of Governor Mike Pence’s 55th birthday, there are some grocery stores that are convenient to your trip in. For those staying downtown there is a Kroger just west of the exit 302 interchange on U.S. Highway 24 – you’ll have to backtrack a bit to reach it though. You may prefer to stop at the Fresh Market or Wal-Mart along the way in to downtown. Both are located on the left side of the highway. Delegates staying up north and checking in before heading downtown have a Wal-Mart on their route to the convention venue on the right, which will be really easy to drive in and drive out of.
