OPEN ITEM: Honoring Staff Sergeant Joshua Brodrick

Good morning. Today is the 20th of February and this is your Open Item.

We would like to take a few minutes to recognize a Hoosier Marine. Staff Sergeant Joshua Brodrick, USMC,  is a Huntington Native who received the Bronze Star Medal with Valor the other day for his heroic actions while deployed in Afghanistan. According to the article from our friends over at WANE.com, SSG Joshua Brodrick’s family was present for the presentation of the nation’s 4th highest medal. According to family, SSG Joshua Brodrick is currently stationed in California but will be re-deployed to Afghanistan in the coming weeks. Here at Hoosier Access, we want to take a moment to thank SSG Joshua Brodrick for his service to our nation. He honors us with his dedication and steadfast commitment to defend the freedoms and rights that we all enjoy. You can watch the coverage from WANE.com on this story below.

In case you missed it yesterday, Managing Editor Derek Pillie had a very good piece on his frustration with Sen. Mike Delph’s press conference. Both publicly and privately we have heard some very positive feedback on the piece. I encourage you to take a moment to read it.

As always, if there is something we missed or just something you want to add, put it in the comment section below.
