OPEN ITEM: Gun Legislation Backfires?
Good morning. Today is the 1st of February and this is your Open Item.
There is an interesting story out in The Indianapolis Star that covers the gun legislation that was set to appear this session. The piece, written by Stephanie Wang, goes into detail about the multiple ways that legislation that would have allowed a firearm to be kept locked, out of sight, on school property was shuffled from committee to committee. I strongly encourage you to take a moment to read it.
