Indiana State Senator Jim Banks this Wednesday at 8pm on #HAchat

Hoosier Access Chats continue this Wednesday at 8pm w/ Indiana State Senator Jim Banks

We hope you all enjoyed Chase Downham’s chat last week! Every Wednesday at 8pm we host a chat on Twitter using the hashtag #HAchat where you can talk about news and politics in the Hoosier state.

If you missed last week’s chat read the chat transcript with Americans for Prosperity’s Indiana State Director Chase Downham on Cover it Live. We’re very pleased to be hosting one of our early contributors who has become a leading voice on conservative issues in Indiana, State Senator Jim Banks. Jim has been active in politics at almost every level you can imagine and will have some great insight to share on what is going on in Indiana and across the country. Here’s a brief snippet from Jim Banks’ campaign biography:

Jim Banks represents Indiana State Senate District 17. Banks is a former Whitley County Councilman and former Whitley County Republican Chairman. Banks, 32, is the Director of Business Development for The Hagerman Group, a 103-year old general contracting and construction management company headquartered in Fort Wayne . Previous to working at The Hagerman Group, Banks owned a public affairs and public relations company and worked in the public policy department at Focus on the Family.

Banks was born and raised in Columbia City and South Whitley. Upon graduating from Columbia City High School, Banks attended Indiana University in Bloomington where he received his B.A. in Political Science.

Jim is very active in conservative causes, you’ll find him anywhere conservatives are looking to make an impact and get more involved in politics. He is also preparing to serve our country in the U.S. Navy, studying for his MBA and raising two children with his wife Amanda.

If you’d like to learn more about Twitter chats and how they work, read this blog post from Kevin Mullett about the tools you can use to participate. Those of you who don’t care for Twitter can follow the chat live here on HoosierAccess.com – we’ll pull all of the messages into the blog for you to follow along and add your own comments!

The entire Hoosier Access team is looking forward to spending some time with Jim – we hope you do too and that you’ll join us Wednesday at 8pm for #HAchat!

Derek Pillie also writes on his personal blog JackUVallTrades. You can follow him on Twitter, be his friend on Facebook, connect on LinkedIn, or include him in your circle on Google Plus.
